Wintry Weather

We had a dusting of snow a few days ago and I got these shots in.  The frost if from our front door and the heart I drew on the hood of my husband's truck!  I liked how the snow glittered int eh sun.

Our rhododendron tells the temp with the leaves.  They curl up tighter as the temp falls below freezing.  With the cold front blowing thru today and tomorrow they will be pretty tight tendrils.  Be safe everyone in the line of the arctic blast.  Keep your animals indoors or in a warm wind proof shelter.

Yep, it sure is cold when the rhodo curls up like that. Lovely frost on the window!

Lovely! Love the shot on the window glass. There's nothing like those unique crystal formations! Thanks! :-)

Great winter photos! Someone told me about the Rhodendrun--that when they are curled up like a cigar it was in the 20s and like a cigarette the temperature was below 20s. Not sure I remember that right. We didn't seem to have the snow that others had this year, lucky I guess.
