Drummer Girl Busker

These were taken at the Bele Chere festival in Asheville this past weekend.  The Silver Drummer Girl is a busker or  street performer that has been performing in the area for a number of years.  She stands on a platform in the street, still as a statue until someone puts a tip in her bowl and then she drums on her drum - often startling the tipper.  For more info on her visit Silver Drummer Girl.

I did not know the word busker. I also love these performers and the drum is a nice touch.

We have a busker festive every year, first week in July, but I've not seen anyone do something similar. That's quite impressive, wonder how long it takes to do that silver paint! And to get it off!
