I have taken a bit of a blogging break to get some things taken care of in my life. Besides it has been so hot so early in the season I had no energy to go out looking for pictures.
This lovely spot is just down the road at our local organic farm and CSA. They had a much smaller produce stand in years past but built this one late last year. They grow organic veggies, fruit, and flowers during the spring - fall season. I try to stop often to pick up fresh food for the house. It was a rainy day and the clouds swirled around the mountaintops. Hope you are all well and enjoying the holiday weekend for those in the States!

I had been missing you. Those pictures are awesome. Of course I am happy anytime I can see mountains. Linda & I love to stop at all the roadside stands when we are in "God's Country". I was also overjoyed to see that I could actually leave you a comment which is rare these days. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend.

Mmm, I'd love to have an organic farm down the road. Our farmers' market, downtown, is great, but now that I don't live quite as close as when I first lived in the city, I seldom go. I used to work right downtown, too, so it easy--I was two blocks away. (The market runs Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays.) There's lots more than produce, of course, all kinds of crafts and art etc. Antiques on Sunday.
Of course, even if I actually bought produce from the market, I'd still be faced with the chore of having to prepare the food. LOL. Not a task I enjoy, as all know.

Wonderful roadside farm stand! When I was in Vermont last year I took a few pictures of the farm stands that we stopped at and the people thought I was nuts...I thought that they were charming and fun.

You live in such a lovely area and the farmer's market sounds a great place to stop off and pick up some fresh, organic produce. I will be doing that at our local one pretty soon.
That looks like a wonderful place to shop, and I like the name "Flying Cloud Farm," it is so descriptive!
I do genealogy as a hobby, and some of my ancestors lived in Ashe County, N.C. in the mid to late 1800's. I enjoyed seeing some of the country there, even though they lived in another part of the state. (I like Google, I can find information quickly!)
