Mount Mitchell in the Clouds

We are looking at Mount Mitchell with the clouds catching on the peak. This mountain in the Appalachians is the highest peak east of the Rockies at 6684 feet above sea level.
This range forms a ridge around the town of Black Mountain and offers many dramatic scenes year round. I love to see the mountains in all kinds of weather!

I also love the mountains in all kinds of weather even though I have never been there during the winter. But seriously I can be there in the rain and still be at peace simply because I am there and love it so much. Your pictures are great as always. Thanks and have an awesome weekend.

If only you were on top of the mountain. Just reach up up and touch those clouds. Very nice shots.
