Gardens and Goats - Happy Mother's Day!

In honor of Mother's Day I wanted to update everyone about the baby goat. For those of you who may have missed the previous goat post...a mother goat had a baby in the pasture in across from my house a little while back. See photo above.

This is the baby below who is doing well. Mr. Morgan keeps the little ones in the high pasture near the barn for the first week or so to get them stronger and bigger before letting them go out with the others.

This little guy is even newer than our first kid and seems to just want to sit and sleep.

Spring is stil unfolding in my garden with irises, rhododendrons, day lilies and peopnies blossoming.

Two of my iris varieties....

A white iris.....

A plae pink peony...I have some deep pink that have not bloomed yet.

Our lovely rhododendron bush by the house.

We are participating in Photo Hunt - Mother, Camera Critters, Scenic Sunday, and Today's Flowers. Be sure to visit them!

Happy Mother's Day to mothers everywhere, in all species!

Oh, I want a baby goat so bad but no more animals here. We have enough. There is only one goat at the moment. Your flowers are just lovely. A lot of mine are blooming too. Great pictures.

That little fella is so darn cute! I would love to have some goats and chickens, I think I need to move back out into the sticks ~ this city life isn't cutting it for me. Once a country girl, always a country girl.
I'm jealous of your blooms ~ we woke up to 5 inches of SNOW!

I bet it would be great fun to watch the baby goat grow up! I hope it doesn't want to eat any of your gorgeous flowers, though. :) Nice garden!

I love these photos. Kids are so cute, especially when all of a sudden they all start running around, butting each others heads. Lovely flower photos too. Happy Mother's Day!

Hi

Awwwww thank you so much for the update on that sweet baby goat!! Oh he (she?) looks so healthy and lovely. And look another baby goat! Spring is so here!

And thank you for the beautiful close up pics of these flowers. I'm guessing the first two are orchids?? I'm trying to guess the others but can't - but the white flower with that big yellow middle is stunning!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Take care
